There are known misidentification cases when people often mistake something as Bigfoot, such as Black Bears, and many believers and non-believers agree that several sightings nowadays are hoaxes, while there's still some evidence that could be real, but are not yet confirmed to be. The best known evidence of Bigfoot is a recorded video taken by Roger Patterson and Robert Gimlin on October 20th, 1967, this is the best known popular video evidence of Bigfoot we have today, though the people who filmed the video deny any claims that it was a set up hoax, several studies are still trying to either authenticate and prove its real or trying to debunk the video itself. The origins of the Bigfoot come from stories passed down by Native American tribes, there are some problems when it comes to scientifically explaining if Bigfoot exists, such as a lack of fossilized remains of primates in North America, no ape, monkey, or hominid fossil has been found from North America, while some have hypothesized the Bigfoot being a Gigantopithecus, that genus is only known from Asia. This creature gets its name from its 24 inch long and 8 inch wide feet, hence the name "Bigfoot", which were eerily similar to that of a large Human, and unlike most apes and just like Humans, the Bigfoot walks upright in an erect posture on its hind legs. DANGER: Strength, Defensive if Threatened or ProvokedÄescription: The Bigfoot, also known as the Sasquatch, is a large ape-like cryptid that is said to roam the heavily forested regions of North America, mostly in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States, but sightings have occurred across North America and have been for several years.
